From what we've learned so far this seems to be tied to certain systems. On others startup is typically really fast.
I'd like to invite you to our Discord to try out the latest Alpha version. A lot has been improved in terms of startup speed, including drive listing.

Hi there Bent, and no problem, that's what it's for :) For performance reasons Resonic uses an engine split into player and metadata, they run in parallel, but one is more accurate, and they might report different durations, sometimes. Typically they are not that far off each other though, so I'd li...

How to play SACD ISOs in Resonic
I've been asked how to play SACD ISOs (Super Audio CD images) with Resonic. You can't. It doesn't play or read .iso files (at the time of writing, 0.9.4) and I don't see the need for this anytime soon, but you can easily convert SACDs to stereo or multi-channel DSD files, either in Sony DSF (.dsf) o...

Re: suggestions for DCM behavieour
When/while in DCM I would appreciate if the meta window on the right side would display the info from the file under actual selection. That way I could keep listening while preview the meta data of other files. I don't see any advantage in staying there at the actual playing file ( while in DCM! )....

Agreed. The directory structure is undergoing a major rework for 0.9.4 and these three (and possibly more in the future) folders will go into an "Audio Files" folder, or similar. So far it can't. The label "A-B" in Resonic is kept for historic reasons (the Player only had AB repeat, kinda like a CD player), but it was repurposed into looping in/out points. A selection is always looping. If the track is playing it will immediately play the loop. If the track is stopped or pau...

In 0.9.3 and below: You cannot really do this as the filter always uses AND logic. From 0.9.4: To filter any of these (OR) you'd write: _01 _02 _03 _04 _25 _26 _27 _28 To also match all these against "Trap" (AND) you'd write: _01 _02 _03 _04 _25 _26 _27 _28 +Trap Sneak peek: https://resonic.at/docs/...
