Search: Refine, Exclude, Include?

Hi, I'm a new Beta user trying out Resonic for the first time.
I'm looking for this option, but can't find it right away. If it doesn't exist yet, i'd like to make big request!
(it's a great way of searching that I got used to in my previous search program).

e.g. Find.. car - Refine to.. interior - Exclude.. fast
or: Find.. footsteps - Exclude.. female - Include.. gravel

Is a functionality like that already here, is there a way around with the same result, or is it planned for?

thanks!

Dan

Hi there, I am new to this forum and to Resonic as well. I am testing the trial now and I am really impressed. Still: your question came up in my mind as well:

It would be nice to be able so search multiple tags at once and exclude some words as well.

Best,
Manu

We're planning to implement this kind of search for the database. The simple file list filter may also see some improvements.

I hope it's ok, if I post an additional idea regarding this topic:

Maybe it would also be nice to have some kind of "or" search as well. So one could search for "machine" or "motor" and would find sounds, which are ONLY tagged with "machine" and also sounds, which are ONLY tagged with "motor".

Regarding the usability, how about some additional ideas:
- a comma = "or" seperator
- a plus = "and"
- a minus = "but not"

So one could search in a single line like this:

"machine +deep -library-X, motor +fast", which would find:

Sounds tagged with "machine" and "deep" (e.g. "machine, car, deep"), but not including a tag or search item "library-X". And it would also list sounds tagged with "motor" and "fast" additionally.

Just wanted to post these ideas as well, just in case you could need some inspiration. But maybe you already have better ideas for this kind of workflow. ;)
